A GE Proseo Metropolitan keypad in black, its buttons reading Morning, Relax, Date Night and Good Night

For Utah homeowners

One button. The whole room.

Tell us about the project and pick a keypad you like. We handle the rest: the plan, the install and the scenes.

What you get

Less on the wall, more in the room

  • One button, the whole room. A scene sets every light in the room at once, at the level you like.
  • Buttons you can read. They say Relax or Evening. Nobody has to learn which rocker runs the cans.
  • Less on the wall. A single keypad can take the place of several dimmers or switches.
  • The shades too. The same keypad can run the shades, so one press sets the light and the shades together.
  • A look you choose. Hand-finished brass, brushed metal or soft matte, with a keypad to suit the room.

What to plan for

New home or finished home

  • Building now. Go centralized. Every light runs to panels, and the wall keeps a single keypad. Decide before the electrical rough-in.
  • Already built. Go hybrid. A keypad and smart switches replace the old rockers, with no new control wire through finished walls.
  • Vantage on the walls. We service Vantage systems, and we replace them when the time comes.

Questions

What homeowners ask

All questions and answers

Can lighting control be added to a finished home?

Yes. A hybrid system replaces the old rockers with a keypad and smart switches, and they talk wirelessly. Some of these devices need a neutral wire in the switch box, so we check the boxes on our visit. Where a box has no neutral, a wire-free keypad can do the job.

Which approach is right for my home?

Building new or remodeling down to the studs, choose centralized. It gives you the cleanest wall. In a home that is already finished, choose hybrid, because it works with the wiring already in the wall. Some homes use both, with keypads and panels in the main rooms and simple controls in guest rooms and baths.

Can a keypad button say what I want it to say?

Yes. We engrave the buttons with the scene, such as Relax, Evening or All Off, so nobody has to learn which light is which. We keep it to a few buttons in most rooms, and we settle the names with you before we order.

How much does lighting control cost?

We quote after we see the plans or walk the home. The approach, the number of lighting circuits, the number of keypads and the finish drive the price. Tell us about the project and we come back with a real number.

Do you work in Southern Utah?

Yes. We work across the Wasatch Front, in Park City and Heber, and in Southern Utah, including St. George, Santa Clara and Ivins. Put the address on the form and we plan the visit.
