How it works

From the first look to the first scene

01

We see the home

We read the plans for a new build. In a finished home, we walk the rooms and check the switch boxes.

02

You pick the look

You choose the keypads and the finish, room by room. We lay them out so the wall stays clean.

03

We install it

We work with your electrician on the line voltage, and we handle the panels, the keypad wire and the system.

04

We set the scenes

Buttons say what they do for you: Relax or Evening, never Cans or Vanity. We walk you through it before we leave.

Building or remodeling?

Decide before the electrical rough-in.

A centralized system needs every lighting circuit run back to the panels. After drywall, hybrid is the way in.

Questions

Common questions

All questions and answers

What is the difference between standard switching, hybrid and centralized lighting control?

Standard switching is a multi-gang of regular switches, one for each circuit. Hybrid replaces those switches with a keypad and smart switches, and it is the retrofit path for a finished home. Centralized takes all the switching off the wall and leaves a single keypad, with the dimming in panels out of sight, and it is the path for new construction.

Which approach is right for my home?

Building new or remodeling down to the studs, choose centralized. It gives you the cleanest wall. In a home that is already finished, choose hybrid, because it works with the wiring already in the wall. Some homes use both, with keypads and panels in the main rooms and simple controls in guest rooms and baths.

What is the difference between Savant and GE Proseo?

Savant makes the whole-home system and the app. GE Proseo is Savant's line of lighting and shade products for professional install, made by GE Lighting, a Savant company. Ascend, Metropolitan, Echo and Flex keypads are all GE Proseo, and they work with the Savant app.

Do you service Vantage lighting systems?

Yes. We service Vantage systems, and we replace them when the time comes. Tell us what is on the wall and what it is doing, and we come take a look.

How much does lighting control cost?

We quote after we see the plans or walk the home. The approach, the number of lighting circuits, the number of keypads and the finish drive the price. Tell us about the project and we come back with a real number.
